I graduated in 1982 from the University of Missouri-Columbia with degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics. I have worked in technology for 25 years in various roles including consulting, sales and program management. I became an entrepreneur in 2007 when I opened my first Liberty Tax franchise in St. Charles, Missouri. I have grown this business to 24 locations in Missouri and Illinois and am now the largest franchisee in the Liberty system. I have my Business Broker license and I am an owner of First Choice Business Brokers. As of June 2019, Robin and I joined the Loyalty Networking team as the first Network Partners in the St. Louis area. I live in Wentzville, Missouri with my wife of 35 years Karla Thompson. We have one son, Whyatt, who is studying to become a Business Broker. I recently became a grandfather with the birth of my first grandson, Finn Thompson. When I am not working, I enjoy anything outdoors including hunting, camping, fishing and working on my farm in north-central Missouri.
