Services Offered
The valuation, preparation, and ultimate sale of businesses in Oregon.
Selling your business may be the most important financial event of your life. Good quality companies require a Business Brokerage or M&A company that takes the time to prepare a complete valuation of your business, followed up with a thorough review of the valuation results, with you, and in person. If you decide to continue with the preparation, listing, and eventual sale of the company, we will arrive at a mutually accepted asking price. Before listing, value businesses require a comprehensive and professionally prepared public presentation (CIM), that most accurately reflects the company{s goodwill. The Goodwill of your business was built over many years of hard work and relentless determination. All quality businesses of value will most likely qualify for SBA lending. As a general rule, we prefer to prequalify businesses for SBA funding. We have several "preferred SBA lenders," with which we closely associate. Prequalification is a quick process when a properly prepared CIM is submitted to a "preferred lender." The business is then ready to be listed on the highest rated state, national, and international "business for sale" websites that have many indirect links to other publications, New Your Times, Salem Business Journal, etc.
About

Business; it’s been his life, for 40 years
2010- Present, in 2010, Randy purchased a nationally prominent business brokerage franchise whose focus was selling businesses, with top-line sales between 50,0000 to 30,000,000, Mainstreet business sales as well as M&A transactions. When his ten-year franchise agreement was up in 2020, he decided that he would be much more comfortable running his own independent business brokerage firm.
The business brokerage franchise was great to be a part of, but nothing like controlling your own business and its direction. It{s impossible to improve on a company, "that is a franchise," from the outside. Randy is much more familiar and comfortable running things his way. He has a very successful history of doing just that.
2000-2009 He left a prominent financial advisory company to start his own independent financial advisory firm. His new advisory firm specialized in financial planning and portfolio investment allocation for small businesses and professionals. Randy sold this in 2009 to a competing advisory company in Oregon. Part of his advisory consisted of venture capital clients that wanted a business advisor who could locate and analyze specific businesses in the Pacific Northwest that would complement, or diversify their investment portfolios.
1986-1999 Randy started a security company, specializing in custom alarm systems for law enforcement, corporations, and high-end homes. This company became one of the most significant independent security companies in Oregon. In 1999 Randy negotiated the sale of his business to two separate entities, one a prominent Oregon security company and the other to one of the largest alarm monitoring companies in the US based in Texas.
1986-1999 He formed a small (start-up) company that developed, patented, and marketed a device frequently used in the security industry—improved efficiencies and significantly reduced labor costs in custom security system installations. In 1998 Randy managed the sale and merger of this company with one of the security industries{ most prominent security switch manufacturers. The deal included patent rights and proprietary molds.
1986-1999 Randy formed a company through private venture capital he raised for the design, development, and marketing of one of the nation{s first Judicial Video Arraignment systems in the country.
1980 Randy secured an SBA loan for capital to start a consumer electronics service company and for the purchase of a commercial property. He negotiated the sale of this, his own first business in 1993.
