Professional Experience
Prior to forming her own company in October 2013, Sherry was the branch manager of the Erie CBRE office, a Fortune 500 Company (December 2009 to October 2013). She was an Associate Broker and Commercial Sales Manager for Prudential CRES (Prudential Commercial Real Estate Services) in Erie, Pennsylvania (November 2006 - December 2009) and an Associate Broker/Realtor with Century 21 Commercial in Lakewood, New York (June 2004 - November 2006). Sherry has provided high level commercial real estate services, strategic investments, expansions, mergers and acquisitions via private equity, venture capital and traditional lending sources for the past decade. Additionally, she analyzed financial information, coordinated funding and implemented business strategies to assist clients in minimizing client risk while maximizing bottom line profitability and overall return on investments.
As the Regional Sales Manager for The Western New York Technology Development Center in Buffalo, NY, Sherry managed a tri-county territory, gaining access to key decision-makers. She developed innovative business strategies to market consultative manufacturing and business services, exceeding performance and sales goals.
As the Deputy Director for the Chautauqua County Department of Planning and Economic Development and County of Chautauqua Industrial Development Agency in Jamestown, New York, Sherry provided direct support to the CEO and reported to the County Executive and Board of Directors. She managed all financial operations, capital investments, special projects, revolving loan programs and county owned real estate for an $18 million economic development agency. She was responsible for all new business development, business retention and collaborative services.
Ms. Bauer’s professional portfolio also includes managerial and entrepreneurial experience. During her tenure as the Business Manager for the First Presbyterian Church and A Children’s Place Day Care in Jamestown, NY, she directed all financial operations and the organization’s private $2 million investment portfolio. As Executive Director for the Chautauqua Regional Youth Ballet in Chautauqua, NY, Sherry directed all financial operations, capital fund drives, negotiated contracts with renowned artists and managed high-end theatrical productions. Additional experience includes owning and operating Molly World, a six-acre outdoor amusement park, as well as the Body Slender, a full service women’s fitness center and tanning salon; Sherry also served as the home furnishings sales manager for Bush Industries, Inc. and operations manager for the Chautauqua County Private Industry Council.
