History
Founded in Eastlake, OH by founder Jeff Pitrone, USA Insulation has been providing quality insulation products and services for over 40 years. The opportunity to get involved in the insulation business came when Jeff discovered that the federal and state governments were giving tax credits for energy conservation projects. Familiar with the insulation business, Jeff had his first appointment in August 1983, and it sold rather easily. One sale became ten sales, and ten became one hundred. He understood right away that his customers were very willing to pay money for better products and a great service. By the end of 1985, Jeff incorporated USA Insulation.
The company soon expanded its Cleveland-based operation into Columbus, Dayton, and Cincinnati, insulating buildings such as Jacobs Fields, Gund Arena, and University Hospitals of Cleveland. USA Insulation then directed its focus and proprietary USA Premium Foam insulation towards the residential market.
In 2006, armed with the knowledge that homeowners were willing to pay for high-quality premium insulation to improve their home’s comfort level and save money on utilities, USA Insulation began to franchise its model to reach a larger, national customer base. USA Insulation is the first, largest, and fastest-growing insulation franchise in the United States.
The company was acquired in 2020 by Threshold Brands, a multi-brand franchisor behind several national home service brands. This provided USA Insulation with more resources and support to continue to expand the brand nationally. Founder Jeff Pitrone’s son Patrick still serves as the brand president for USA Insulation.
